Julie Payne

Julie’s tourism journey began at Mansfield University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Tourism. Her early work at AAA provided valuable insight into domestic and international travel, laying the groundwork for a career defined by curiosity, connection, and commitment.

She developed skills in marketing strategy, itinerary creation, tour escorting, trade show participation, team building, and project management—skills she continues to apply today. Her relationships with tour operators and industry leaders remain strong and influential.

Following graduation, Julie spent ten years as a Group Tour Manager for a Pennsylvania-based tour operator. This role gave her a comprehensive understanding of the group travel market—from senior and boomer travelers to student and international segments.

Julie later served as Director of Tourism Development for a Harrisburg-based marketing firm, collaborating with destinations and attractions to grow group and leisure travel. Her work strengthened regional tourism efforts and expanded market reach across diverse segments.
